How to change ignition leads [AUTODOC TUTORIAL]

Please note!
- High tension leads transmit high voltage electric pulses from the ignition coils to the spark plugs
- A malfunction in the ignition system is the main reason for replacing the leads
- 1.
These components are located at the top of the engine. You may need to remove the engine cover or some intake system components to access themImportant!When replacing the leads, make sure to connect them to the cylinders in the correct order.If the leads are not connected in the right way, the engine will not run correctlyThe engine may even fail to start at all - 2.
The order you disconnect the components in doesn’t matter. You can disconnect them from either the ignition coil or the spark plugs first - 3.
The ignition coil and leads may not be marked If this is the case, make marks before removing the leads, to indicate what cylinders they should be connected to - 4.
The caps of the high tension leads can get stuck with time, so twist them slightly before removing them - 5.
Although the design may differ, all high tension leads attach in a similar way - 6.
In some cases, you may need additional tools to disconnect the leads from the spark plugsImportant!Only pull the lead by the cap when disassembling it
