- Replace the stabiliser links on TOYOTA CELICA (ZZT23_) in pairs.
- The replacement procedure is identical for both stabiliser links on the same axle.
- Please note: all work on the car – TOYOTA CELICA (ZZT23_) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Secure the wheels with chocks.Step 2
Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #19. - Step 3Raise the car.Replacement: anti roll bar links – TOYOTA CELICA (ZZT23_). Tip from AUTODOC:If you are using a jack, make sure it rests on a flat surface without any unevenness.Be sure to additionally secure the car with jack stands.Step 4
Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Important! Hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. TOYOTA CELICA (ZZT23_) - Step 5
Remove the wheel. - Step 6
Clean the sway bar link fastener. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 7
Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the shock strut. Use a drive socket #14. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 8
Clean the sway bar link fastener. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 9
Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a drive socket #14. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 10
Remove the stabilizer rod. Use a crowbar.Replacement: anti roll bar links – TOYOTA CELICA (ZZT23_). AUTODOC experts recommend:Examine stabiliser bushes. Replace them if needed. - Step 11
Clean the mounting seats of the stabiliser link. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 12
Ιnstall the transverse stabilizer link. Use a crowbar. - Step 13
Screw in the sway bar link fasteners. Use a drive socket #14. Use a ratchet wrench.
