                      Wire brush
                    
                      WD-40 spray
                    
                      Copper grease

                      Torque wrench
                    
                      Crow bar
                    
                      Hydraulic transmission jack

Replacement: anti roll bar bushes – VW POLO (9N_). AUTODOC experts recommend:

Both stabilizer bushes should be replaced simultaneously.
The replacement procedure is identical for the right and left stabilizer bushes.
All work should be done with the engine stopped.

Replacement: anti roll bar bushes – VW POLO (9N_). Use the following procedure:

Step 1

Secure the wheels with chocks.
Step 2

Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 3

Raise the front of the car and secure on supports.

Step 4

Unscrew the wheel bolts.

AUTODOC recommends:
To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the bolts.
Step 5

Remove the wheel.
Step 6

Clean the fasteners of the stabilizer bush brackets. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 7

Unscrew the fasteners of the stabilizer bush brackets. Use a combination spanner #13.
Step 8

Support the arm. Use a hydraulic transmission jack.
Step 9

Remove the fastening bolts (2 pieces).
Step 10

Lower the hydraulic transmission jack by 10-15 cm.

AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: anti roll bar bushes – VW POLO (9N_). Lower the transmission jack smoothly, without jerks, to avoid damaging components and mechanisms.
Step 11

Remove the stabilizer bush brackets. Use a crowbar.
Step 12

Remove the stabilizer bushes.
Step 13

Install the new stabilizer bushes.
Step 14

Install the stabilizer bush brackets.
Step 15

Support the arm. Use a hydraulic transmission jack.
Step 16

Install the fastening bolts (2 pieces). Use a crowbar.
Step 17

Screw the fasteners of the stabilizer bush brackets. Use a drive socket #13. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 20 Nm torque.+90°

Replacement: anti roll bar bushes – VW POLO (9N_). AUTODOC recommends:
Important! Be sure to use new fasteners.
Step 18

Remove the support from under the arm.

AUTODOC recommends:
VW POLO (9N_) – Do not lower the transmission jack sharply to avoid damaging components and mechanisms of the car.
Step 19

Clean the wheel rim mounting seat. Use a wire brush.
Step 20

Treat the surface where the brake disc contacts the wheel rim. Use copper grease.
Step 21

Install the wheel.

Replacement: anti roll bar bushes – VW POLO (9N_). Tip from AUTODOC experts:
To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when screwing in the fastening bolts.
Step 22

Screw in the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 23

Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 120 Nm torque.
Step 24

Remove the jacks and chocks.
