Replacement: anti roll bar bushes – VW POLO (9N_). AUTODOC experts recommend:
- Both stabilizer bushes should be replaced simultaneously.
- The replacement procedure is identical for the right and left stabilizer bushes.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: anti roll bar bushes – VW POLO (9N_). Use the following procedure:
- Step 1
Secure the wheels with chocks. - Step 2
Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17. - Step 3Raise the front of the car and secure on supports.Step 4
Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the bolts. - Step 5
Remove the wheel. - Step 6
Clean the fasteners of the stabilizer bush brackets. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 7
Unscrew the fasteners of the stabilizer bush brackets. Use a combination spanner #13. - Step 8
Support the arm. Use a hydraulic transmission jack. - Step 9
Remove the fastening bolts (2 pieces). - Step 10
Lower the hydraulic transmission jack by 10-15 cm.AUTODOC recommends:Replacement: anti roll bar bushes – VW POLO (9N_). Lower the transmission jack smoothly, without jerks, to avoid damaging components and mechanisms. - Step 11
Remove the stabilizer bush brackets. Use a crowbar. - Step 12
Remove the stabilizer bushes. - Step 13
Install the new stabilizer bushes. - Step 14
Install the stabilizer bush brackets.
