Replacement: anti roll bar bushes – VW TRANSPORTER IV Box (70XA). Tip from AUTODOC:
- Both stabilizer bushes should be replaced simultaneously.
- The replacement procedure is identical for the right and left stabilizer bushes.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: anti roll bar bushes – VW TRANSPORTER IV Box (70XA). Recommended sequence of steps:
- Step 1Secure the wheels with chocks.
- Step 2Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
- Step 3Raise the front of the car and secure on supports.Step 4Unscrew the wheel bolts.Replacement: anti roll bar bushes – VW TRANSPORTER IV Box (70XA). AUTODOC recommends:To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the bolts.
- Step 5Remove the wheel.
- Step 6Clean the fasteners of the stabilizer bush brackets. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 7Unscrew the fasteners of the stabilizer bush brackets. Use a combination spanner #16. Use a drive socket #16. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 8Remove the stabilizer bush brackets. Use a crowbar.
- Step 9Remove the stabilizer bushes.
- Step 10Clean the mounting seats of the stabilizer bushes. Use WD-40 spray.
