Replacement: anti roll bar bushes – VW TRANSPORTER IV Platform/Chassis (70XD). List of the tools you'll need:

                        Wire brush
                      
                        WD-40 spray
                      
                        Copper grease 
                      
                        Combination spanner #16
                      
                        Drive socket # 16 
                      
                        Wheel impact socket #17
                      
                        Ratchet wrench
                      
                        Torque wrench
                      
                        Crow bar
                      
                        Wheel chock

Replacement: anti roll bar bushes – VW TRANSPORTER IV Platform/Chassis (70XD). Tip from AUTODOC:

Both stabilizer bushes should be replaced simultaneously.
The replacement procedure is identical for the right and left stabilizer bushes.
All work should be done with the engine stopped.

Replacement: anti roll bar bushes – VW TRANSPORTER IV Platform/Chassis (70XD). Recommended sequence of steps:

Step 1

Secure the wheels with chocks.
Step 2

Loosen the wheel mounting bolts.Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 3

Raise the front of the car and secure on supports.

Step 4

Unscrew the wheel bolts.

Replacement: anti roll bar bushes – VW TRANSPORTER IV Platform/Chassis (70XD). AUTODOC recommends:

To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the bolts.
Step 5

Remove the wheel.
Step 6

Clean the fasteners of the stabilizer bush brackets.Use a wire brush.Use WD-40 spray.
Step 7

Unscrew the fasteners of the stabilizer bush brackets.Use a combination spanner #16.Use a drive socket #16.Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 8

Remove the stabilizer bush brackets.Use a crowbar.
Step 9

Remove the stabilizer bushes.
Step 10

Clean the mounting seats of the stabilizer bushes.Use WD-40 spray.
Step 11

Install the new stabilizer bushes.
Step 12

Install the stabilizer bush brackets.Use a crowbar.
Step 13

Screw the fasteners of the stabilizer bush brackets.Use a drive socket #16.Use a torque wrench.Tighten it to 45 nm torque.
Step 14

Treat the surface where the brake disc contacts the wheel rim. Use copper grease.
Step 15

Install the wheel.

Replacement: anti roll bar bushes – VW TRANSPORTER IV Platform/Chassis (70XD). AUTODOC experts recommend:

To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when screwing in the fastening bolts.
Step 16

Screw in the wheel bolts.Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 17

Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts.Use a torque wrench.Tighten it to 170 Nm torque.
Step 18

Remove the jacks and chocks.
