How to change serpentine belt / v-ribbed belt on TOYOTA AYGO 1 (AB10) [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]

Replacement: serpentine belt – Toyota Aygo AB1. AUTODOC recommends:
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: serpentine belt – Toyota Aygo AB1. Take the following steps:
- Step 1Open the hood.
- Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
- Step 3Secure the wheels with chocks.Step 4Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #19.
- Step 5Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.
- Step 6Unscrew the wheel bolts.Replacement: serpentine belt – Toyota Aygo AB1. Tip:To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the bolts.
- Step 7Remove the wheel.
- Step 8Unscrew the fastener of the side plastic cover of the engine. Use a drive socket #10. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
- Step 9Remove the side plastic cover.
- Step 10Clean the tensioner pulley of the V-ribbed belt. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 11Loosen the tensioner lever of the V-ribbed belt. Use a combination spanner #12. Use a drive socket #12. Use a drive socket #14. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 12Remove the V-ribbed belt.Replacement: serpentine belt – Toyota Aygo AB1. AUTODOC experts recommend:Check the condition of the tensioner pulley and idler pulley. Replace them if necessary.
- Step 13Install the V-ribbed belt.Replacement: serpentine belt – Toyota Aygo AB1. Professionals recommend:Make sure that the V-ribbed belt fits all pulleys snugly.
- Step 14Tighten the tensioner lever of the V-ribbed belt. Use a combination spanner #12. Use a drive socket #14. Use a ratchet wrench.Replacement: serpentine belt – Toyota Aygo AB1. Tip from AUTODOC:Make sure that the V-ribbed belt is properly tensioned.
- Step 15Place the V-ribbed belt on the tensioner pulley.
