The European Waste Catalogue does not classify used wheel cylinders as hazardous waste unless they contain brake fluid residues (EWC code 16 01 22).
- Consumer disposal optionsBefore disposal, brake fluid residues (hazardous waste, EWC code 16 01 13) should be removed. Then, the component can be disposed of in strict compliance with the regulations for sorting scrap metal.
- Industrial disposal regulationsThe collection, storage, and disposal are carried out by specialist companies in accordance with the regulatory requirements for this type of waste.
