According to the European Waste Catalogue, this part is not classified as hazardous waste after the end of its service life (EWC code 16 01 17 / 16 01 18). Older ignition coils may contain transformer oil, which must not be disposed of with household waste.
  • Consumer disposal options
    The component should be disposed of according to the regulations for sorting metal waste. Those components containing transformer oil must be disposed of only after removing oil residues.

    The collection, storage, recycling, and disposal are carried out by specialist companies according to the regulatory requirements for this type of waste.
