Used spark plugs are not classified as hazardous waste.
However, disposing of these car parts with household waste is prohibited.
- Consumer disposal optionsDisposal must be carried out by handing the parts over to a specialised service or by bringing them to appropriately labelled recycling bins. It is prohibited to store these parts or dispose of them in places not designated for this purpose.
- Industrial disposal regulationsThe collection, storage, and disposal are regulated by the List of Wastes Regulations of 2005 and the Waste Framework Directive 75/442/EEC.
