The European Waste Catalogue does not classify used brake hoses as hazardous waste (EWC code 16 01 22) unless they contain brake fluid residues.
- Consumer disposal optionsThis component can be disposed of in strict accordance with local regulations for sorting rubber, plastic, and metal waste. Before doing so, you must drain the brake fluid and hand it over to a specialised hazardous waste management service.
- Industrial disposal regulationsThe collection, storage, and disposal are carried out by specialist companies in accordance with the regulatory requirements for this type of waste.
