How to change front brake hose on VW GOLF 2 [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]

Replacement: brake hose – VW Golf 2. Tip from AUTODOC:
- Follow the terms, recommendations and requirements of the part operation provided by the manufacturer.
- The replacement procedure is identical for the right and left brake hoses on the same axle.
- Please note: all work on the car – VW Golf 2 – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1
Open the bonnet. Unscrew the brake fluid reservoir cap. - Step 2Secure the wheels with chocks.Step 3
Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17. - Step 4
Raise the front of the car and secure on supports. - Step 5
Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. VW Golf 2 - Step 6
Remove the wheel. - Step 7
Detach the brake hose from the shock strut. - Step 8
Clean the area where the brake hose is connected to the brake caliper and to the brake circuit pipe. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 9
Clamp the brake hose off using a brake hose clamp. - Step 10
Put a container for gathering brake fluid beneath. - Step 11
Clean the area where the brake hose is connected to the brake caliper and to the brake circuit pipe. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 12
Loosen the brake hose fastening. Use a combination spanner #14. - Step 13
Loosen the fastener connecting the brake pipe to the brake hose. Use a combination spanner #11. - Step 14
Unscrew the brake pipe from the brake hose. - Step 15
Remove the brake hose clamp. - Step 16
Unscrew the brake hose from the brake caliper.Replacement: brake hose – VW Golf 2. AUTODOC experts recommend:Be careful! Brake fluid may leak from the brake hose. - Step 17
Treat the brake hose. Use a brake cleaner.AUTODOC recommends:Replacement: brake hose – VW Golf 2. After applying the spray, wait a few minutes. - Step 18
Screw the new brake hose onto the brake caliper. Use a combination spanner #14. - Step 19

Screw the brake hose onto the brake circuit pipe. Use a combination spanner #11. - Step 21

Fasten the brake hose on the strut.
