- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: engine mounts – PEUGEOT 3008. Recommended sequence of steps:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3
Release the coolant reservoir retainers. Use a clip removal tool. - Step 4
Remove the coolant reservoir cap. - Step 5
Remove the engine cover.AUTODOC recommends:Replacement: engine mounts – PEUGEOT 3008. Do not use excessive force when removing the part as this may damage it. - Step 6
Support the engine in the oil pan area. Use a jack. - Step 7
Clean the engine mount fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 8
Unscrew the fasteners that connect the engine mount to the car body. Use a drive socket #E14. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 9
Unscrew the engine mount fasteners. Use Torx T50. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 10
Remove the engine mount.Replacement: engine mounts – PEUGEOT 3008. AUTODOC recommends:Carefully check the other engine mounts and replace them if necessary. - Step 11
Remove the fastening bolts. - Step 12
Clean the mounting seat of the engine mount. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 13
Treat the engine mount fasteners. Use a sealant. - Step 14
Install the engine mount to its mounting seat. - Step 15
Install the fastening bolts.
