All the parts you need to replace – Engine Mount for 208 I Hatchback (CA_, CC_) and other PEUGEOT models
Carefully check the other engine mounts and replace them if necessary.
Step 11
Clean the mounting seat of the engine mount. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 12
Install the engine mount to its mounting seat.
Step 13
Install the fastening bolts. Use a crowbar.
Step 14
Screw in the fasteners that connect the engine mount to the car body. Use a drive socket #16. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 15
Screw in the engine mount fastener that connects it to the gearbox housing. Use a drive socket #16. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 16
Tighten the fasteners that connect the engine mount to the car body. Use a drive socket #16. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 60 nm torque.
Step 17
Tighten the fastening bolt connecting the engine mount to the gearbox housing.
Use a drive socket #16. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 60 nm torque.
Step 18
Remove the support from under the gearbox.
AUTODOC recommends:
PEUGEOT 208 – Do not lower the transmission jack sharply to avoid damaging components and mechanisms of the car.
Step 19
Treat the engine mount fasteners. Use copper grease.
Step 20
Lower the car.
Step 21
Remove the fender protection cover.
Step 22
Close the hood.
