Engine mount

        Engine mount for Transit Connect Mk1 Van Diesel (75 hp)
      
        Engine mount for Transit Connect Mk1 Van Diesel (90 hp)
      
        Engine mount for Transit Connect Mk1 Van Diesel (110 hp)

Replacement: engine mounts – FORD TRANSIT CONNECT (P65_, P70_, P80_). Tools you might need:

                        Wire brush
                      
                        WD-40 spray
                      
                        Copper grease 
                      
                        Torque wrench
                      
                        Drive socket # 10 
                      
                        Drive socket # 16 
                      
                        Ratchet wrench
                      
                        Flat Screwdriver
                      
                        Jack
                      
                        Fender cover

Replacement: engine mounts – FORD TRANSIT CONNECT (P65_, P70_, P80_). AUTODOC experts recommend:

All work should be done with the engine stopped.

Replacement: engine mounts – FORD TRANSIT CONNECT (P65_, P70_, P80_). Use the following procedure:

Step 1

Open the bonnet.

Step 2

Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.

Step 3

Unscrew the fasteners of the coolant reservoir. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 4

Release the coolant reservoir retainers. Use a flat screwdriver.
Step 5

Remove the coolant reservoir.
Step 6

Support the engine in the oil pan area. Use a jack.
Step 7

Clean the engine mount fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 8

Unscrew the upper fastener of the engine mount. Use a drive socket #16. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 9

Unscrew the fasteners that connect the engine mount to the car body. Use a drive socket #16. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 10

Remove the engine mount.

Replacement: engine mounts – FORD TRANSIT CONNECT (P65_, P70_, P80_). Tip from AUTODOC experts:
Carefully check the other engine mounts and replace them if necessary.
Step 11

Clean the mounting seat of the engine mount. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 12

Install the engine mount to its mounting seat.
Step 13

Raise the jack by 10–15 cm.
Step 14

Screw in the fasteners that connect the engine mount to the car body. Use a drive socket #16. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 15

Screw in the upper fastener of the engine mount. Use a drive socket #16. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 16

Tighten the upper fastener of the engine mount. Use a drive socket #16. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 57 Nm torque.
Step 17

Tighten the fasteners that connect the engine mount to the car body. Use a drive socket #16. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 57 Nm torque.
Step 18

Treat the engine mount fasteners. Use copper grease.
Step 19

Install the coolant reservoir.
Step 20

Attach the coolant reservoir using its retainers.

Step 21

Screw in the coolant reservoir fasteners. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 22

Remove the support from under the engine.

Step 23

Remove the fender protection cover.

Step 24

Close the hood.
