How to change front suspension arm PEUGEOT 208 1 (CA_,CC_)

Replacement: front lower arm – Peugeot 208 1. Tip:
- The replacement procedure is identical for the left and right lower control arms.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: front lower arm – Peugeot 208 1. Use the following procedure:
- Step 1
Secure the wheels with chocks. - Step 2
Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17. - Step 3
Loosen the fastener of the driveshaft. Use a drive socket #32. Use a tap wrench. - Step 4
Raise the front of the car and secure on supports. - Step 5
Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Important! Hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. Peugeot 208 1 - Step 6
Remove the wheel. - Step 7
Clean all joints of the arm. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 8
Unscrew the ball joint fastening to the steering knuckle. Use a drive socket #E8. Use a drive socket #18. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 9
Remove the fastening bolt. - Step 10
Loosen the rear fastener of the control arm. Use a drive socket #18. Use a tap wrench. - Step 11
Loosen the front fastener of the control arm. Use a drive socket #18. Use a tap wrench. - Step 12
Unscrew the rear arm fastener. Use Torx T55. Use a drive socket #18. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 13
Remove the fastening bolt. - Step 14
Disconnect the ball joint from the steering knuckle. Use a crowbar. - Step 15
Unscrew the fastener connecting the drive shaft to the wheel hub. - Step 16
Detach the driveshaft from the steering knuckle. - Step 17
Unscrew the front arm fastener. Use Torx T55. Use a drive socket #18. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 18
Remove the fastening bolt. - Step 19
Remove the arm. Use a crowbar. - Step 20
Clean the mounting seats and the thread of the suspension arm. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 21
Install a new arm.Replacement: front lower arm – Peugeot 208 1. AUTODOC recommends:During the installation process, use only new bolts and nuts.Do not damage the ball joint cover. - Step 22
Install the control arm fasteners. - Step 23
Clean the splines of the drive shaft CV joint. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 24
Mount the drive shaft into the wheel hub. - Step 25
Connect the ball joint to the steering knuckle. Use a crowbar.
