- Replace the stabiliser links on TOYOTA HILUX III Platform/Chassis (KUN1_, TGN3_, TGN2_, TGN1_, KUN2 in pairs.
- The replacement procedure is identical for both stabiliser links on the same axle.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: anti roll bar links – TOYOTA HILUX III Platform/Chassis (KUN1_, TGN3_, TGN2_, TGN1_, KUN2. Recommended sequence of steps:
- Step 1Secure the wheels with chocks.
- Step 2Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #21.
- Step 3Raise the front of the car and secure on supports.Step 4Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. TOYOTA HILUX III Platform/Chassis (KUN1_, TGN3_, TGN2_, TGN1_, KUN2
- Step 5Remove the wheel.
- Step 6Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 7Unscrew the fasteners connecting the stabilizer link to the steering knuckle. Use a combination spanner #17. Use a drive socket #17. Use HEX No.H6.
- Step 8Detach the stabilizer link from the steering knuckle.
- Step 9Unscrew the fasteners connecting the stabiliser link to the stabiliser bar. Use a combination spanner #17. Use HEX No.H6.
- Step 10Remove the stabilizer rod.Replacement: anti roll bar links – TOYOTA HILUX III Platform/Chassis (KUN1_, TGN3_, TGN2_, TGN1_, KUN2. Tip from AUTODOC experts:Examine stabiliser bushes. Replace them if needed.
- Step 11Treat all joints of the stabiliser link. Use copper grease.
- Step 12Ιnstall the transverse stabilizer link.
- Step 13Attach the stabilizer link to the steering knuckle.
