Replace the stabiliser links on Peugeot 107 PM PN in pairs.
The replacement procedure is identical for both stabiliser links on the same axle.
All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: anti roll bar links – Peugeot 107 PM PN. Recommended sequence of steps:
Step 1
Secure the wheels with chocks.
Step 2
Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 3
Raise the front of the car and secure on supports.
Step 4
Unscrew the wheel bolts.
AUTODOC recommends:
Important! Hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. Peugeot 107 PM PN
Step 5
Remove the wheel.
Step 6
Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 7
Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer bar with the control arm. Use a combination spanner #10. Use a drive socket #12. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 8
Remove the cotter pin. Use a crowbar.
Step 9
Clean the fastener connecting the ball joint to the steering knuckle. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 10
Unscrew the ball joint fastening to the steering knuckle. Use a combination spanner #19.
Step 11
Disconnect the ball joint from the steering knuckle. Use a ball joint puller.
Step 12
Disconnect the lower arm from the steering knuckle.
Step 13
Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a combination spanner #10. Use a drive socket #12. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 14
Remove the stabilizer rod. Use a crowbar.
Replacement: anti roll bar links – Peugeot 107 PM PN. AUTODOC recommends:
Examine stabiliser bushes. Replace them if needed.
Step 15
Clean all joints of the arm. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: anti roll bar links – Peugeot 107 PM PN. After applying the spray, wait a few minutes.
Step 16
Connect the lower arm to the steering knuckle.
Step 17
Connect the ball joint to the steering knuckle.
Step 18
Install a new rod, tighten the fasteners.
Step 19
Use a combination spanner #13. Use a drive socket #12. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 20
Support the arm. Use a hydraulic transmission jack.
Step 21
Tighten the ball joint fastener. Use a combination spanner #19. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 98 nm torque.
Step 22
Install the cotter pin. Use a crowbar.
Step 23
Tighten the fastener connecting the stabilizer bar with the control arm. Use a combination spanner #13. Use a drive socket #12. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 18 Nm torque.
Step 24
Remove the support from under the arm.
AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: anti roll bar links – Peugeot 107 PM PN. Lower the transmission jack smoothly, without jerks, to avoid damaging components and mechanisms.
Step 25
Tighten the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a combination spanner #13. Use a drive socket #12. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 18 Nm torque.
Step 26
Treat all joints of the stabiliser link. Use copper grease.
Step 27
Treat the surface where the brake disc contacts the wheel rim. Use copper grease.
Step 28
Clean the wheel rim mounting seat. Use a brake cleaner.
AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: anti roll bar links – Peugeot 107 PM PN. After applying the spray, wait a few minutes.
Step 29
Install the wheel.
AUTODOC recommends:
Important! Hold the wheel while screwing in the fastening bolts. Peugeot 107 PM PN
Step 30
Screw in the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 31
Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 100 nm torque.
Step 32
Remove the jacks and chocks.
