Replace the stabiliser links on Peugeot 307 SW in pairs.
The replacement procedure is identical for both stabiliser links on the same axle.
All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: anti roll bar links – Peugeot 307 SW. Recommended sequence of steps:
Step 1
Secure the wheels with chocks.
Step 2
Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 3
Raise the front of the car and secure on supports.
Step 4
Unscrew the wheel bolts.

To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the bolts.
Step 5
Remove the wheel.
Step 6
Remove the ABS wiring harness bracket.
Step 7
Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 8
Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the shock strut. Use a drive socket #15. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 9
Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 10
Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a combination spanner #16. Use a drive socket #15. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 11
Remove the stabilizer rod.
Replacement: anti roll bar links – Peugeot 307 SW. Tip from AUTODOC experts:
Examine stabiliser bushes. Replace them if needed.
Step 12
Clean the mounting seats of the stabiliser link. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 13
Install a new rod, tighten the fasteners.
Step 14
Tighten the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a drive socket #17. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 36 Nm torque.
Step 15
Tighten the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the shock strut. Use a drive socket #17. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 36 Nm torque.
Step 16
Treat all joints of the stabiliser link. Use copper grease.
Step 17
Install the ABS wiring harness bracket.
Step 18
Treat the surface where the brake disc contacts the wheel rim. Use copper grease.
Step 19
Clean the brake disk surface. Use a brake cleaner.
AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: anti roll bar links – Peugeot 307 SW. After applying the spray, wait a few minutes.
Step 20
Install the wheel.
Replacement: anti roll bar links – Peugeot 307 SW. Tip from AUTODOC:
To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when screwing in the fastening bolts.
Step 21
Screw in the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 22
Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 100 nm torque.
Step 23
Remove the jacks and chocks.
