Replacement: anti roll bar bushes – FORD TRANSIT TOURNEO (FC_ _). AUTODOC experts recommend:
- Replace the anti-roll bar links and bushes in pairs.
- The replacement procedure is identical for the anti-roll bar links and bushes on both sides of the same axle.
- Please note: all work on the car – FORD TRANSIT TOURNEO (FC_ _) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out the replacement steps as follows:
- Step 1Secure the wheels with chocks.
- Step 2Loosen the wheel nuts on the front wheels. Use a 21 mm wheel impact socket. Use a tommy bar.
- Step 3Raise the vehicle.Replacement: anti roll bar bushes – FORD TRANSIT TOURNEO (FC_ _). AUTODOC recommends:If you are using a jack, make sure the car is parked on a hard, flat surface.Make sure to additionally secure the car with jack stands.Step 4Unscrew the nuts on one of the wheels and remove it.Caution!To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the nuts.
- Step 5Remove the other wheel in the same way.
- Step 6Clean the fasteners of one of the anti-roll bar links. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 7Unscrew the fastener connecting the anti-roll bar link to the anti-roll bar. Use a 19 mm combination spanner. Use an H5 Allen key to secure the ball stud. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 8Unscrew the fastener connecting the anti-roll bar link to the suspension strut. Use a 19 mm socket. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 9Remove the anti-roll bar link.
- Step 10Follow the same steps to remove the other anti-roll bar link.
- Step 11Clean the bracket fasteners of one of the anti-roll bar bushes. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 12Unscrew the fasteners of the anti-roll bar bush bracket. Use a 10 mm socket. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 13Remove the fastening bolts.
- Step 14Remove the anti-roll bar bush bracket.
- Step 15Remove the anti-roll bar bush.
- Step 16Follow the same steps to remove the other anti-roll bar bush bracket and the bush.
- Step 17Clean the mounting seats of the anti-roll bar bushes. Use a wire brush. Use an all-purpose cleaning spray.
- Step 18Install a new anti-roll bar bush on one side of the axle.
- Step 19Install the anti-roll bar bush bracket.
- Step 20Install and screw in the fastening bolts.
