- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: engine mounts – PEUGEOT 206 Hatchback (2A/C). Recommended sequence of steps:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3Release the coolant reservoir retainers. Use a clip removal tool.
- Step 4Remove the coolant reservoir cap.
- Step 5Remove the engine cover.AUTODOC recommends:Replacement: engine mounts – PEUGEOT 206 Hatchback (2A/C). Do not use excessive force when removing the part as this may damage it.
- Step 6Support the engine in the oil pan area. Use a jack.
- Step 7Clean the engine mount fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 8Unscrew the fasteners that connect the engine mount to the car body. Use a drive socket #E14. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 9Unscrew the engine mount fasteners. Use Torx T50. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 10Remove the engine mount.Replacement: engine mounts – PEUGEOT 206 Hatchback (2A/C). AUTODOC recommends:Carefully check the other engine mounts and replace them if necessary.
- Step 11Remove the fastening bolts.
- Step 12Clean the mounting seat of the engine mount. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 13Treat the engine mount fasteners. Use a sealant.
- Step 14Install the engine mount to its mounting seat.
- Step 15Install the fastening bolts.
