Replacement: wheel bearing – TOYOTA AURIS TOURING SPORTS (ADE18_, ZWE18_, ZRE18_). AUTODOC recommends:
- Do not re-use the bearing assembly of your TOYOTA AURIS TOURING SPORTS (ADE18_, ZWE18_, ZRE18_) car.
- The wheel hub bearing replacement procedure is identical for both wheels on the same axle.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: wheel bearing – TOYOTA AURIS TOURING SPORTS (ADE18_, ZWE18_, ZRE18_). Take the following steps:
- Step 1Clean the wheel hub fastener. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 2Unstake the fastener of the driveshaft. Use a pin punch. Use a hammer.
- Step 3Loosen the fastener of the driveshaft. Use a drive socket #30. Use a tap wrench.
- Step 4Secure the wheels with chocks.Step 5Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #21.Step 6Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports.
- Step 7Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Important! Hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. TOYOTA AURIS TOURING SPORTS (ADE18_, ZWE18_, ZRE18_)
- Step 8Remove the wheel.
- Step 9Unscrew the fastener connecting the drive shaft to the wheel hub. Use a drive socket #30. Use a tap wrench.
- Step 10Treat the splines of the driveshaft CV joint. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 11Remove the drive shaft. Use a pin punch. Use a hammer.
- Step 12Spread the brake pads. Use a crowbar.
- Step 13Clean the brake caliper bracket fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 14Unscrew the caliper bracket fastening. Use a drive socket #17. Use a tap wrench.
- Step 15Remove the caliper bracket.Replacement: wheel bearing – TOYOTA AURIS TOURING SPORTS (ADE18_, ZWE18_, ZRE18_). Professionals recommend:Tie the caliper to the suspension or to the body with a wire without disconnecting from the brake hose to prevent depressurization of the brake system.
- Step 16Clean the brake disc fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 17Remove the brake disc.
- Step 18Clean the fasteners of the wheel hub bearing. Use WD-40 spray.Step 19Unscrew the hub bearing mounting. Use a drive socket #17. Use a tap wrench.
- Step 20Remove the hub and the bearing together, since they are a sealed unit. Use the hub slide hammer puller.
- Step 21Clean the hub bearing mounting seat. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 22Install the new wheel hub with a bearing.
- Step 23Tighten the wheel hub bearing fasteners. Use a drive socket #17. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 24Tighten the fastener of the wheel hub bearing. Use a drive socket #17. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 90 nm torque.
