Replacement: wheel bearing – NISSAN MICRA C+C (K12). AUTODOC experts recommend:
- Do not re-use the bearing assembly of your NISSAN MICRA C+C (K12) car.
- The wheel hub bearing replacement procedure is identical for both wheels on the same axle.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: wheel bearing – NISSAN MICRA C+C (K12). Use the following procedure:
- Step 1Secure the wheels with chocks.Step 2Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
- Step 3Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports.Step 4Unscrew the wheel bolts.Replacement: wheel bearing – NISSAN MICRA C+C (K12). Professionals recommend:To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the bolts.
- Step 5Remove the wheel.
- Step 6Remove the hub bearing protection cap. Use a hammer. Use a crowbar.Replacement: wheel bearing – NISSAN MICRA C+C (K12). Tip:Some cars are not equipped with wheel hub caps.
- Step 7Clean the wheel hub fastener. Use WD-40 spray.Step 8Unscrew the wheel hub axle nut. Use a drive socket #30. Use a tap wrench.
- Step 9Remove the brake drum assembled with the wheel hub bearing.Replacement: wheel bearing – NISSAN MICRA C+C (K12). AUTODOC experts recommend:Examine the brake drum. Replace it if necessary.
- Step 10Clean the fasteners of the wheel hub bearing.
- Step 11Remove the wheel hub bearing retaining ring. Use circlip pliers.
- Step 12Press out the wheel hub bearing. Use a bush and bearing driver set.
- Step 13Clean the hub bearing mounting seat. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 14Press fit the new wheel hub bearing into the brake drum. Use a bush and bearing driver set.Replacement: wheel bearing – NISSAN MICRA C+C (K12). Tip from AUTODOC experts:Check to make sure the wheel hub bearing is positioned correctly. Avoid its misalignment. Stop pressing on the surface of the bearing immediately after it has been fitted into its mounting seat.
- Step 15Install the wheel hub bearing retaining ring. Use circlip pliers.
