Replacement: engine mounts – PEUGEOT 301. AUTODOC recommends:
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: engine mounts – PEUGEOT 301. Recommended sequence of steps:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.Step 4
Clean the engine mount fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 5
Support the gearbox. Use a hydraulic transmission jack.Replacement: engine mounts – PEUGEOT 301. Tip:Take care to prevent the gearbox from being unsupported (hanging). - Step 6
Unscrew the fasteners that connect the engine mount to the car body. Use a drive socket #16. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 7
Remove the fastening bolt. - Step 8
Unscrew the fastener connecting the engine mount to the gearbox housing. Use a drive socket #16. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 9
Remove the fastening bolt. - Step 10
Remove the engine mount.Replacement: engine mounts – PEUGEOT 301. Professionals recommend:Carefully check the other engine mounts and replace them if necessary. - Step 11
Clean the mounting seat of the engine mount. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 12
Install the engine mount to its mounting seat. - Step 13
Install the fastening bolts. Use a crowbar.
