Intake pipe, air filter
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
- Step 1
Open the bonnet.
Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
Step 3
Remove the engine cover.
AUTODOC recommends:Replacement: intake pipe – FORD FOCUS II Estate (DA_). Do not use excessive force when removing the part as this may damage it.
- Step 4
Clean the air hose fastener. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
- Step 5
Loosen the binding clamps attaching the air duct to the air filter housing and to the charger. Use a drive socket #7. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 6
On the right side, detach the PCV valve hose from the engine cover.
- Step 7
Remove the air intake hose.
- Step 8
Clean the mounting seat of the air intake hose.
