                      All-purpose cleaning spray
                    
                      Drive socket # 7 
                    
                      Ratchet wrench
                    
                      Fender cover

Replacement: intake pipe – FORD FOCUS C-MAX. AUTODOC recommends:

All work should be done with the engine stopped.

Replacement: intake pipe – FORD FOCUS C-MAX. Take the following steps:

Step 1

Open the bonnet.

Step 2

Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.

Step 3

Remove the engine cover.

AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: intake pipe – FORD FOCUS C-MAX. Do not use excessive force when removing the part as this may damage it.
Step 4

Clean the air hose fastener. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 5

Loosen the binding clamps attaching the air duct to the air filter housing and to the charger. Use a drive socket #7. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 6

On the right side, detach the PCV valve hose from the engine cover.
Step 7

Remove the air intake hose.
Step 8

Clean the mounting seat of the air intake hose.
Step 9

Install the air intake pipe and secure it.
Step 10

On the right side, attach the PCV valve hose to the engine cover.
Step 11

Tighten the binding clamps that attach the air duct to the air filter housing and to the charger. Use a drive socket #7. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 12

Install the engine cover and secure it.

AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: intake pipe – FORD FOCUS C-MAX. To avoid damaging the part during installation, do not use excessive force.Make sure the engine cover is properly seated. It should not be displaced with respect to the guiding fasteners.
Step 13

Remove the fender protection cover.

Step 14

Close the hood.
