How to change ignition coil on VW GOLF 5 [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]

Replacement: ignition coil – VW Golf 5. AUTODOC experts recommend:
- The replacement procedure is the same for the ignition coils of all cylinders.
- Please note: all work on the car – VW Golf 5 – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Open the hood.
- Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
- Step 3Remove the engine cover.AUTODOC recommends:Replacement: ignition coil – VW Golf 5. Do not use excessive force when removing the part as this may damage it.
- Step 4Clean the ignition coil bolts. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
- Step 5Disconnect the spark plug wires from the ignition coil.Replacement: ignition coil – VW Golf 5. AUTODOC recommends:Be careful to avoid damaging spark plug wires.Remember the position of the spark plug wires.
- Step 6Detach the connector from the ignition coil.
- Step 7Unscrew the ignition coil bolts. Use HEX No.H5. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 8Take out the ignition coil from the spark plug well.
- Step 9Install the new ignition coil to the spark plug well.
- Step 10Tighten the ignition coil bolts. Use HEX No.H5. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 7 nm torque.
