Ratchet wrench
Replacement: serpentine belt – VW Golf 5. AUTODOC recommends:
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: serpentine belt – VW Golf 5. Recommended sequence of steps:
- Step 1
Open the hood. - Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car. - Step 3Secure the wheels with chocks.Step 4
Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit. - Step 5
Undo the fasteners of the oil pan lower cover. Use a drive socket #12. - Step 6
Remove the oil pan cover. - Step 7
Pull aside the V-ribbed belt tensioner pulley. Use a combination spanner #16. - Step 8
Remove the V-ribbed belt. - Step 9
Return the tensioner pulley to its initial position.Replacement: serpentine belt – VW Golf 5. Tip from AUTODOC:Check the condition of the tensioner pulley and idler pulley. Replace them if necessary. - Step 10
Install the V-ribbed belt.Replacement: serpentine belt – VW Golf 5. AUTODOC experts recommend:Make sure that the V-ribbed belt fits all pulleys snugly.
