How to change fuel filter OPEL ZAFIRA-A (T98) [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]
All the parts you need to replace – Fuel Filter for Zafira A (T98) and other OPEL models
Replacement: fuel filter – Opel Zafira F75. AUTODOC experts recommend:
Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors are poisonous.
All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: fuel filter – Opel Zafira F75. Use the following procedure:
Step 1
Open the bonnet.
Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
Step 3
Remove the cowl grille seal.
Step 4
Remove the upper part of the scuttle panel.
Step 5
Clean the fasteners of the lower part of the scuttle panel. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 6
Unscrew the fasteners of the lower part of the scuttle panel. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 7
Remove the lower part of the scuttle panel.
Step 8
Detach the fuel pressure sensor connector.
Step 9
Clean the fuel filter housing and the cover. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 10
Unscrew the fasteners of the fuel filter housing cover. Use Torx T30. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 11
Remove the fuel filter housing cover.
AUTODOC recommends:
Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
Step 12
Prepare a container for fluids.
Step 13
Remove the fuel filter.
Step 14
Remove the old sealing ring.
Step 15
Put the old filter cartridge in the container.
Step 16
Install a new fuel filter.
Replacement: fuel filter – Opel Zafira F75. AUTODOC recommends:
Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Consider the fuel flow direction mark.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.Take care to only use quality filters.
Step 17
Install the new sealing ring.
Step 18
Put the fuel filter cap back on.
Step 19
Clean the fuel filter mounting bracket.
Step 20
Tighten the fasteners of the fuel filter cover. Use Torx T30. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 21
Attach the fuel pressure sensor connector.
Step 22
Reinstall the lower part of the scuttle panel.
Step 23
Screw in the fasteners of the lower part of the scuttle panel. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 24
Reinstall the upper part of the scuttle panel.
Step 25
Install the cowl grille seal.
Replacement: fuel filter – Opel Zafira F75. Tip:
Before starting off, switch the ignition on and off several times. This should be done to activate the fuel pump to make it pump fuel through the fuel system.
Step 26
Run the engine for a few minutes. This is necessary in order to make sure that the component operates properly.
Step 27
Shut off the engine.
Step 28
Remove the fender protection cover.
Step 29
Close the hood.
Replacement: fuel filter – Opel Zafira F75. Tip from AUTODOC:
To protect the environment from pollution, be sure to dispose of the used filters at special collection points.
