Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3Detach the fuel pressure sensor connector. Use fuel line pliers. Use a flat screwdriver.
- Step 4Clean the fasteners of the fuel supply lines. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.Step 5Squeeze the clips and detach the fuel supply lines from the fuel filter housing. Use fuel line pliers. Use a flat screwdriver.Replacement: fuel filter – HYUNDAI i30 CW (GD). Professionals recommend:Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
- Step 6Unscrew the fuel filter bracket fixing bolts. Use a combination spanner #19.
- Step 7Remove the fuel filter together with its bracket.
- Step 8Unscrew the water-in-fuel sensor.
- Step 9Prepare a container for fluids.Step 10Unscrew the fuel filter bracket. Use the 76-14 F socket. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 11Remove the fuel filter fastening bracket. Remove the fuel filter.Replacement: fuel filter – HYUNDAI i30 CW (GD). AUTODOC experts recommend:Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
- Step 12Install a new fuel filter. Install the fuel filter fastening bracket.Replacement: fuel filter – HYUNDAI i30 CW (GD). AUTODOC recommends:Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Consider the fuel flow direction mark.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.Attention! Use quality components. HYUNDAI i30 CW (GD)
- Step 13Screw in the fuel filter mounting bracket. Use the 76-14 F socket. Use a ratchet wrench.
