Fuel filter
- Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors are poisonous.
- Please note: all work on the car – HYUNDAI GETZ (TB) – should be done with the engine switched off.
- Step 1
Open the bonnet.
Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
Step 3
Detach the fuel pressure sensor connector. Use fuel line pliers. Use a flat screwdriver.
- Step 4
Clean the fasteners of the fuel supply lines. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 5
Squeeze the clips and detach the fuel supply lines from the fuel filter housing. Use fuel line pliers. Use a flat screwdriver.
Replacement: fuel filter – HYUNDAI GETZ (TB). Professionals recommend:Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
- Step 6
Unscrew the fuel filter bracket fixing bolts. Use a combination spanner #19.
- Step 7
Remove the fuel filter together with its bracket.
- Step 8
Unscrew the water-in-fuel sensor.
- Step 9
Prepare a container for fluids.
Step 10
Unscrew the fuel filter bracket. Use the 76-14 F socket. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 11
Remove the fuel filter fastening bracket. Remove the fuel filter.

Install a new fuel filter. Install the fuel filter fastening bracket.
