Note that when using a spring compressor, spring coils need to be securely gripped, compressing the spring on the opposite sides.Ensure the correct position of the spring in the retainer.Make sure that the spring coils tightly entered the lock handles.

Treat the shock strut rod. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.

Remove the strut piston rod nut. Use HEX No.H7. Use a drive socket #19. Use a ratchet wrench.

Remove the top strut mount.

Release the coil spring.

Remove the spring.

Remove the shock absorber dust cap and the bump stop.
AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: suspension strut – Peugeot 207 hatchback. Carefully inspect the mount, the boot, and the bump stop of the shock absorber. Replace if necessary.

Remove the old shock absorber from the hydraulic coil spring compressor.
Before installing a new shock absorber you should pump it manually 3-5 times.

Install the new shock absorber on the hydraulic coil spring compressor.

Install the dust sleeve and the bump stop on the new shock absorber.

Install the spring on the shock absorber.

Compress the spring.

Install the upper strut mount and the strut mount bearing.

Tighten the shock strut piston rod nut. Use a drive socket #19. Use HEX No.H6. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 75 Nm torque.
Replacement: suspension strut – Peugeot 207 hatchback. Tip from AUTODOC experts:
Check to make sure the spring is positioned correctly. Avoid its misalignment. During the installation process, use only new bolts and nuts.

Decompress the spring.

Treat the shock strut rod. Use copper grease.

Remove the assembled shock strut.

Treat the mounting seats of the shock strut. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.

Install the shock strut into the wheel arch.

Screw the top fastening of the shock strut mount. Do not tighten it.
Replacement: suspension strut – Peugeot 207 hatchback. Tip from AUTODOC:
To avoid injuries, hold the shock strut when screwing the fastening bolts in.

Treat the shock strut mounting seat on the steering knuckle. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.

Fix the shock absorber strut on the steering knuckle.

Install the fastening bolt.
Step 58
Screw in the fastener that connects the shock strut to the steering knuckle. Use a drive socket #16. Use a ratchet wrench.

Clean the splines of the drive shaft CV joint. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.

Install the drive shaft.

Clean the fasteners connecting the ball joint to the suspension control arm. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.

Attach the ball joint to the control arm. Use a crowbar.
Step 63
Screw the fasteners of the ball joint. Use a combination spanner #17. Use a drive socket #16. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 64
Tighten the fasteners connecting the ball joint to the control arm. Use a drive socket #16. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 65 Nm torque.
Step 65
Tighten the lower fasteners connecting the shock strut to the steering knuckle. Use a drive socket #16. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 55 Nm torque.
Step 66
Install the fastening nut.
Step 67
Screw the nut of the drive shaft. Use a drive socket #35. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 68
Tighten the drive shaft nut. Use a drive socket #35. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 245 nm torque.
Step 69
Install the CV axle nut cotter pin. Use a crowbar.
Step 70
Secure the brake hose bracket.
Step 71
Tighten the fastener connecting the brake hose bracket to the suspension strut. Use a drive socket #13. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 17 nm torque.
Step 72
Connect the ABS sensor wiring.

Ιnstall the transverse stabilizer link.
Step 74
Clean the mounting seats of the stabiliser link. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 75
Tighten the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the shock strut. Use a drive socket #16. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 43 Nm torque.
Step 76
Remove the support from under the steering knuckle.
AUTODOC recommends:
Peugeot 207 hatchback – Do not lower the transmission jack sharply to avoid damaging components and mechanisms of the car.
Step 77
Treat all joints of the stabiliser link. Treat the shock strut fasteners. Treat the fasteners of the ball joint. Use copper grease.
Step 78
Treat the surface where the brake disc contacts the wheel rim. Use copper grease.
Step 79
Clean the brake disk surface. Use a brake cleaner.
Important! Hold the wheel while screwing in the fastening bolts. Peugeot 207 hatchback
Step 81
Screw in the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 82
Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 100 Nm torque.
Step 83
Remove the jacks and chocks.
Step 84
Tighten the upper fastener of the shock absorber strut mount. Use a combination spanner #21. Use HEX No.H7. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 75 Nm torque.
Step 85
Treat the fasteners of the shock strut mount. Use copper grease.
Step 86
Install and secure the cowl grille.
Step 87
Reinstall the cabin filter housing cover. Make sure you hear a click indicating that it is locked in place.
AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: suspension strut – Peugeot 207 hatchback. Do not use excessive force during installation. This may damage the part.

Remove the fender protection cover.
Step 89
Close the hood.
