Replacement: front lower arm – PEUGEOT PARTNER Box. Professionals recommend:
- The replacement procedure is identical for the left and right lower control arms.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: front lower arm – PEUGEOT PARTNER Box. Recommended sequence of steps:
- Step 1Secure the wheels with chocks.
- Step 2Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #19.
- Step 3Raise the front of the car and secure on supports.Step 4Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Important! Hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. PEUGEOT PARTNER Box
- Step 5Remove the wheel.
- Step 6Clean all joints of the arm. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.Replacement: front lower arm – PEUGEOT PARTNER Box. AUTODOC recommends:After applying the spray, wait a few minutes.Wear protective goggles.
- Step 7Unscrew the ball joint fastening to the steering knuckle. Use a drive socket #17. Use a combination spanner #17.
- Step 8Remove the fastening bolt.
- Step 9Disconnect the lower arm from the steering knuckle. Use a crowbar.
- Step 10Clean all joints of the arm. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 11Unscrew the front arm fastener. Use a drive socket #18. Use a tap wrench.
- Step 12Clean all joints of the arm. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 13Unscrew the rear fastener connecting the control arm to the subframe. Use a drive socket #13. Use a drive socket #16. Use a tap wrench.
- Step 14Remove the rear fastener of the control arm.
- Step 15Remove the front fastener of the control arm.
- Step 16Remove the arm. Use a crowbar.
- Step 17Clean the mounting seats and the thread of the suspension arm. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 18Install a new arm. Use a crowbar.Replacement: front lower arm – PEUGEOT PARTNER Box. Tip from AUTODOC:During the installation process, use only new bolts and nuts.Do not damage the ball joint cover.
- Step 19Install the rear fastener of the arm.
- Step 20Install the front fastener of the arm.
- Step 21Screw the rear arm fastener. Use a combination spanner #13. Use a drive socket #16. Use a ratchet wrench.
