- Replace the stabiliser links on PEUGEOT 108 in pairs.
- The replacement procedure is identical for both stabiliser links on the same axle.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: anti roll bar links – PEUGEOT 108. Recommended sequence of steps:
- Step 1
Secure the wheels with chocks. - Step 2
Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17. - Step 3Raise the front of the car and secure on supports.Step 4
Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Important! Hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. PEUGEOT 108 - Step 5
Remove the wheel. - Step 6
Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 7
Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer bar with the control arm. Use a combination spanner #10. Use a drive socket #12. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 8
Remove the cotter pin. Use a crowbar. - Step 9
Clean the fastener connecting the ball joint to the steering knuckle. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 10
Unscrew the ball joint fastening to the steering knuckle. Use a combination spanner #19. - Step 11
Disconnect the ball joint from the steering knuckle. Use a ball joint puller. - Step 12
Disconnect the lower arm from the steering knuckle. - Step 13
Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a combination spanner #10. Use a drive socket #12. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 14
Remove the stabilizer rod. Use a crowbar.Replacement: anti roll bar links – PEUGEOT 108. AUTODOC recommends:Examine stabiliser bushes. Replace them if needed. - Step 15
Clean all joints of the arm. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.AUTODOC recommends:Replacement: anti roll bar links – PEUGEOT 108. After applying the spray, wait a few minutes. - Step 16
Connect the lower arm to the steering knuckle. - Step 17Connect the ball joint to the steering knuckle.Step 18
Install a new rod, tighten the fasteners. - Step 19
Use a combination spanner #13. Use a drive socket #12. Use a ratchet wrench.
