i-SHIFT is an automated gearbox installed on some Honda cars. It was released in 2005. It features both automatic and manual control modes. The mode is selected by sliding the gear lever into the “A/M” position. If manual mode is selected, slide the lever to the “+” or “-” positions. The gears can also be shifted up or down using the paddle shifters while the gear lever is in the “D” position.
