Error code P0019 is displayed and the check engine light is on - what does this mean?

The DTC P0019 indicates that the OBD system has detected an incorrect correlation between the camshaft and crankshaft position. This fault code relates to the engine management system and valve timing, whereby camshaft B (exhaust side) is not correctly positioned in relation to the crankshaft. This code may have slightly different names for different manufacturers, but always refers to the camshaft timing problem.
