Replacement: spark plugs – PEUGEOT 2008. Tools you'll need:

                        Electronic spray
                      
                        Crow bar
                      
                        Spark plug socket # 14
                      
                        High-temperature anti-seize lubricant
                      
                        Torque wrench
                      
                        Fender cover
                      
                        Ignition coil removal tool
                      
                        Telescoping magnet

Replacement: spark plugs – PEUGEOT 2008. AUTODOC experts recommend:

The replacement procedure is the same for all spark plugs.
All work should be done with the engine stopped.

Replacement: spark plugs – PEUGEOT 2008. Recommended sequence of steps:

Step 1

Open the hood.

Step 2

Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.

Step 3

Unplug the connectors from the ignition coils. Use an ignition coil remover.
Step 4

Pry up the ignition coil. Use a crowbar. Take out the ignition coil from the spark plug well.

Replacement: spark plugs – PEUGEOT 2008. Tip:
Remember the sequence of steps for ignition coil demounting.
Step 5

Clean dirt, dust and debris from inside the spark plug well.
Step 6

Unscrew the spark plugs. Use the 12-point spark plug socket #14.
Step 7

Take out the spark plugs. Use a telescoping magnet.
Step 8

Apply a thin layer of a special high temperature anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the new spark plugs.
Step 9

Install the new spark plugs into their mounting seats.
Step 10

Screw new spark plugs and tighten them. Use the 12-point spark plug socket #14. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 23 nm torque.

Replacement: spark plugs – PEUGEOT 2008. Tip from AUTODOC:
Be careful when working with a spark plug wrench. Its skewing can cause damage to the threaded connection.Don't tighten the plugs with excessive force. Exceeding tightening torque can damage the thread connection.
Step 11

Install the ignition coil to the spark plug well. Make sure you hear a click indicating that it is locked in place.

AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: spark plugs – PEUGEOT 2008. Follow the installation steps.
Step 12

Treat the ignition coil connector with electronic spray. The spray will protect the electrical contacts from corrosion, oxidation, and will reduce the contact resistance.
Step 13

Plug in the connectors of the ignition coils.
Step 14

Lock the connector.

Step 15

Remove the fender protection cover.

Step 16

Close the hood.
