- Step 7Remove the hub bearing protection cap. Use a hammer. Use a crowbar.Replacement: wheel bearing – RENAULT Megane I Kasten / Schrägheck (SA0/1_). AUTODOC recommends:Some cars are not equipped with wheel hub caps.
- Step 8Clean the wheel hub fastener. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 9Unscrew the wheel hub axle nut. Use a drive socket #30. Use a tap wrench.
- Step 10Remove the brake drum.Replacement: wheel bearing – RENAULT Megane I Kasten / Schrägheck (SA0/1_). AUTODOC experts recommend:Examine the brake drum. Replace it if necessary.
- Step 11Remove the wheel hub bearing retaining ring. Use circlip pliers.
- Step 12Press out the wheel hub bearing. Use a bush and bearing driver set.
- Step 13Clean the hub bearing mounting seat. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 14Press a new bearing into the wheel hub. Use a bush and bearing driver set.AUTODOC recommends:Replacement: wheel bearing – RENAULT Megane I Kasten / Schrägheck (SA0/1_). Do not use excessive force during installation. This may damage the part.
