How to change rear shock absorber on FIAT BRAVO 2 (198) [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]

Replacement: shock absorbers – Fiat Bravo 2. AUTODOC experts recommend:
- Both shock struts of the rear suspension should be replaced simultaneously.
- The replacement procedure is identical for the left and right shock struts of the rear suspension.
- Please note: all work on the car – Fiat Bravo 2 – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1
Open the boot lid. - Step 2
Remove the mount cap from the shock absorber upper fastener. - Step 3
Loosen the upper fastener of the shock absorber. Use a combination spanner #17. Use locking pliers. - Step 4
Secure the wheels with chocks. - Step 5
Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17. - Step 6
Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports. - Step 7
Unscrew the wheel bolts.Replacement: shock absorbers – Fiat Bravo 2. AUTODOC recommends:To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the bolts. - Step 8
Remove the wheel. - Step 9
Support the rear suspension beam. Use a hydraulic transmission jack. - Step 10
Clean the shock absorber fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 11
Unscrew the lower fastener of the shock absorber. Use a drive socket #19. Use a tap wrench. - Step 12
Unscrew the upper fastener of the shock absorber. - Step 13
Remove the fastening bolt. Use a drive socket #19. - Step 14
Remove the shock absorber. - Step 15Remove the shock absorber dust cap and the bump stop.Replacement: shock absorbers – Fiat Bravo 2. Tip:Examine the shock absorber dust cap and the bump stop. Replace them if necessary. Before installing a new shock absorber you should pump it manually 3-5 times.Step 16Install the dust sleeve and the bump stop on the new shock absorber.Step 17
Place the shock absorber in the wheel arch and fasten it.
