How to change rear brake pad wear sensor on BMW 1 Series E82 [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]

Replacement: brake pad wear sensor – BMW E82. AUTODOC recommends:
- The replacement procedure is identical for both brake pad wear sensors on the same axle.
- Warning! Shut down the engine before starting any work – BMW E82.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Secure the wheels with chocks.Step 2Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
- Step 3Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports.
- Step 4Unscrew the wheel bolts.Replacement: brake pad wear sensor – BMW E82. Tip:To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the bolts.
- Step 5Remove the wheel.
- Step 6Remove the brake pad wear sensor from the brake pad.
- Step 7Disconnect the brake pads wear sensor. Use a crowbar.
- Step 8Unscrew the wheel arch cover fasteners. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 9Move the part aside.
- Step 10Disconnect the brake pad wear sensor plug.
- Step 11Connect the brake pad wear sensor plug.
