Replacement: anti roll bar links – TOYOTA RAV4 V (XA50). List of the tools you'll need:

                        Wire brush
                      
                        WD-40 spray
                      
                        Copper grease 
                      
                        Combination spanner #17
                      
                        Drive socket # 17 
                      
                        Wheel impact socket #21
                      
                        Ratchet wrench
                      
                        Torque wrench
                      
                        Wheel chock

AUTODOC recommends:

Replace the stabiliser links on TOYOTA RAV4 V (XA50) in pairs.
The replacement procedure is identical for both stabiliser links on the same axle.
All work should be done with the engine stopped.

Replacement: anti roll bar links – TOYOTA RAV4 V (XA50). Use the following procedure:

Step 1

Secure the wheels with chocks.

Step 2

Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #21.
Step 3

Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports.

Step 4

Unscrew the wheel bolts.

AUTODOC recommends:
Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. TOYOTA RAV4 V (XA50)
Step 5

Remove the wheel.
Step 6

Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 7

Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the control arm. Use a drive socket #17.
Step 8

Unscrew the fasteners connecting the stabiliser link to the stabiliser bar. Use a drive socket #17. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 9

Remove the stabilizer rod.

Replacement: anti roll bar links – TOYOTA RAV4 V (XA50). Professionals recommend:
Examine stabiliser bushes. Replace them if needed.
Step 10

Clean the mounting seats of the stabiliser link. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 11

Treat all joints of the stabiliser link. Use copper grease.

Step 12

Install a new rod, tighten the fasteners. Use a drive socket #17. Use a combination spanner #17.
Step 13

install the rod fastening to the stabilizer and tighten it. Use a combination spanner #17. Use a drive socket #17. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 30 Nm torque.
Step 14

Tighten the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a drive socket #17. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 74 Nm torque.
Step 15

Treat all joints of the stabiliser link. Use copper grease.
Step 16

Treat the surface where the brake disc contacts the wheel rim. Use copper grease.
Step 17

Clean the wheel rim mounting seat. Use a brake cleaner.

AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: anti roll bar links – TOYOTA RAV4 V (XA50). After applying the spray, wait a few minutes.
Step 18

Install the wheel.

AUTODOC recommends:
Important! Hold the wheel while screwing in the fastening bolts. TOYOTA RAV4 V (XA50)
Step 19

Screw in the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #21.
Step 20

Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #21. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 103 Nm torque.
Step 21

Remove the jacks and chocks.
