Electronic spray
All-purpose cleaning spray
Torque wrench
HEX bit No.H5
Ratchet wrench
Fender cover
Replacement: ignition coil – AUDI A1 (8X1, 8XF). AUTODOC experts recommend:
  • The replacement procedure is the same for the ignition coils of all cylinders.
  • Please note: all work on the car – AUDI A1 (8X1, 8XF) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:

    Open the hood.

    Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.

    Remove the engine cover.

    Replacement: ignition coil – AUDI A1 (8X1, 8XF). Do not use excessive force when removing the part as this may damage it.

    Clean the ignition coil bolts. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.

    Disconnect the spark plug wires from the ignition coil.
    Replacement: ignition coil – AUDI A1 (8X1, 8XF). AUTODOC recommends:
    Be careful to avoid damaging spark plug wires.Remember the position of the spark plug wires.

    Detach the connector from the ignition coil.
