Replacement: fuel filter – Renault Master 2 van. Professionals recommend:
- Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapours are poisonous.
- To avoid fire, wait until the engine has cooled down completely before beginning work. Keep open flames or sources of sparks away from the area.
- Relieve the fuel system pressure using the method specified by your car manufacturer, to prevent fuel from spraying out.
- All the work should be carried out with the ignition switched off.
Replacement: fuel filter – Renault Master 2 van. Use the following procedure:
- Step 1
Open the bonnet. - Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to avoid damaging the paintwork and plastic parts of the car. - Step 3Prepare a fluid drain pan.Step 4
Clean all filter connections. Use an all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 5
Detach the electrical connector of the fuel filter. - Step 6
Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel filter. Plug the fuel lines immediately after disconnecting them to prevent spills and contamination. Use the fuel line pliers. - Step 7
Remove the fuel filter housing. - Step 8
Unscrew the fuel filter cap fastener. Use a T30 Torx bit. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 9
Remove the fastener. - Step 10
Remove the fuel filter cap. - Step 11Remove the sealing ring.Step 12
Remove the filter element from the fuel filter housing. - Step 13
Clean the fuel filter housing, cap, and cap fastener. Use an all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 14
Install a new filter element into the fuel filter housing. - Step 15
Install a new sealing ring.
