How to change fuel filter RENAULT CLIO 3 [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]
All the parts you need to replace – Fuel Filter for Clio III Hatchback (BR0/1, CR0/1) and other RENAULT models
Replacement: fuel filter – Renault Clio 3. Tip from AUTODOC:
Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors are poisonous.
Warning! Shut down the engine before starting any work – Renault Clio 3.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
Step 1
Open the hood.
Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
Step 3
Secure the wheels with chocks.
Step 4
Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 5
Raise the front of the car and secure on supports.
Step 6
Unscrew the wheel bolts.
Replacement: fuel filter – Renault Clio 3. Professionals recommend:
To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the bolts.
Step 7
Remove the wheel.
Step 8
Remove the wheel arch cover. Use a clip removal tool.
Step 9
Prepare a container for fluids.
Step 10
Clean the fuel filter bracket. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 11
Unscrew the fuel filter bracket fixing bolts. Use a drive socket #13. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 12
Remove the fuel filter together with its bracket.
Step 13
Clean the fasteners of the fuel supply lines. Use a nylon cleaning brush. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 14
Remove the fuel filter fastening bracket.
Step 15
Disconnect the fuel supply lines from the fuel filter. Use a flat screwdriver.
Replacement: fuel filter – Renault Clio 3. Tip:
Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
Step 16
Remove the fuel filter.
Step 17
Put the old filter cartridge in the container.
Step 18
Clean the fuel lines. Use a nylon cleaning brush. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 19
Connect the fuel supply lines to the fuel filter.
Step 20
Install a new fuel filter.
Replacement: fuel filter – Renault Clio 3. AUTODOC experts recommend:
Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Consider the fuel flow direction mark.Take care to only use quality filters.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.
Step 21
Install the fuel filter fastening bracket.
Step 22
Install the new fuel filter together with its bracket.
Step 23
Screw the fixing bolts of the fuel filter bracket. Use a drive socket #13. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 19 Nm torque.
Step 24
Install the wheel arch cover to its mounting seat.
Step 25
Treat the surface where the brake disc contacts the wheel rim. Use copper grease.
Step 26
Clean the brake disk surface. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 27
Install the wheel.
AUTODOC recommends:
Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while screwing in the fastening bolts on the car. Renault Clio 3
Step 28
Screw in the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 29
Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 105 nm torque.
Step 30
Remove the jacks and chocks.
Step 31
Press the fuel primer pump several times until it gets hard.
Step 32
Run the engine for a few minutes. This is necessary in order to make sure that the component operates properly.
Step 33
Shut off the engine.
Step 34
Remove the fender protection cover.
Step 35
Close the hood.
Replacement: fuel filter – Renault Clio 3. AUTODOC recommends:
To protect the environment from pollution, be sure to dispose of the used filters at special collection points.
