- Step 1
Open the hood. - Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car. - Step 3
Remove the engine cover.Replacement: fuel filter – Ford Fiesta JA8. Tip from AUTODOC:Raise the engine cover, holding it on two sides simultaneously.Do not apply excessive force when removing the part. Otherwise you may damage it. - Step 4
Unscrew the fuel filter bracket fixing bolts. Use a drive socket #8. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 5
Clean the fasteners of the fuel supply lines. Use all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 6
Detach the fuel pressure sensor connector. - Step 7
Squeeze the clips and detach the fuel supply lines from the fuel filter housing. Use a flat screwdriver.AUTODOC recommends:Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses. - Step 8
Detach the fuel pressure sensor connector. - Step 9
Loosen the fuel filter mounting. Use a drive socket #8. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 10
Remove the fuel filter. - Step 11
Clean the fuel filter. Use all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 12
Unscrew the fasteners of the fuel filter housing cover. Use Torx T15. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 13
Remove the fuel filter housing cover. - Step 14
Clean the fuel filter housing and the cover. Use all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 15
Install and tighten the cap of the fuel filter housing. Use Torx T15. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 16
Install a new fuel filter.Replacement: fuel filter – Ford Fiesta JA8. AUTODOC experts recommend:Take care to only use quality filters. - Step 17
Screw in the fuel filter mounting bracket. Use a drive socket #8. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 18
Attach the fuel pressure sensor connector. - Step 19
Connect the fuel lines to the fuel filter and lock the fastening clips.
