How to change fuel filter FORD FIESTA JA8 [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]

Replacement: fuel filter – Ford Fiesta JA8. AUTODOC experts recommend:

All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: fuel filter – Ford Fiesta JA8. Use the following procedure:
Step 1
Open the hood.
Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
Step 3
Remove the engine cover.
Replacement: fuel filter – Ford Fiesta JA8. Tip from AUTODOC:
Raise the engine cover, holding it on two sides simultaneously.Do not apply excessive force when removing the part. Otherwise you may damage it.
Step 4
Unscrew the fuel filter bracket fixing bolts. Use a drive socket #8. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 5
Clean the fasteners of the fuel supply lines. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 6
Detach the fuel pressure sensor connector.
Step 7
Squeeze the clips and detach the fuel supply lines from the fuel filter housing. Use a flat screwdriver.
AUTODOC recommends:
Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
Step 8
Detach the fuel pressure sensor connector.
Step 9
Loosen the fuel filter mounting. Use a drive socket #8. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 10
Remove the fuel filter.
Step 11
Clean the fuel filter. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 12
Unscrew the fasteners of the fuel filter housing cover. Use Torx T15. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 13
Remove the fuel filter housing cover.
Step 14
Clean the fuel filter housing and the cover. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 15
Install and tighten the cap of the fuel filter housing. Use Torx T15. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 16
Install a new fuel filter.
Replacement: fuel filter – Ford Fiesta JA8. AUTODOC experts recommend:
Take care to only use quality filters.
Step 17
Screw in the fuel filter mounting bracket. Use a drive socket #8. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 18
Attach the fuel pressure sensor connector.
Step 19
Connect the fuel lines to the fuel filter and lock the fastening clips.
Step 20
Connect the bleeder kit to the fuel filter bleeder screw.
Step 21
Fill the new filter with fuel.
Step 22
Remove the bleeder kit.
Step 23
Connect the fuel lines to the fuel filter and lock the fastening clips.
Step 24
Attach the fuel pressure sensor connector.
Step 25
Clean the fasteners of the fuel supply lines. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 26
Screw the fixing bolts of the fuel filter bracket. Use a drive socket #8. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 27
Install the engine cover and secure it.
Replacement: fuel filter – Ford Fiesta JA8. Professionals recommend:
Make sure the engine cover is properly seated. It should not be displaced with respect to the guiding fasteners.Do not apply excessive force when installing the part. Otherwise you may damage the fasteners.
Step 28
Switch on the ignition. This should be done to activate the fuel pump to make it pump fuel through the fuel system.
Step 29
Run the engine for a few minutes. This is necessary in order to make sure that the component operates properly.
Step 30
Shut off the engine.

Remove the fender protection cover.
Step 32
Close the hood.
