Replacement: fuel filter – AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5). AUTODOC experts recommend:
- Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors are poisonous.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: fuel filter – AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5). Take the following steps:
- Step 1Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.Step 2Unscrew the fastener attaching the fuel supply line to the fuel filter housing. Use a combination spanner #19. Use a combination spanner #22.
- Step 3Prepare a container for fluids.Step 4Disconnect the pipe from the fuel filter.Replacement: fuel filter – AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5). Tip:Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
- Step 5Unscrew the fastener attaching the fuel supply line to the fuel filter housing. Use a combination spanner #17. Use a combination spanner #22.
- Step 6Disconnect the pipe from the fuel filter.
- Step 7Clean the fuel filter bracket. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.Step 8Unscrew the fuel filter bracket fixing bolts. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 9Remove the fuel filter together with its bracket.Step 10Remove the fuel filter.
- Step 11Install a new fuel filter.AUTODOC recommends:Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Consider the fuel flow direction mark.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5) – It's important to only use high-quality filters.
- Step 12Install the new fuel filter together with its bracket.
