                      All-purpose cleaning spray
                    
                      Torx bit T20
                    
                      Flat Screwdriver
                    
                      Fuel line pliers

Replacement: fuel filter – Audi A4 B6. Professionals recommend:

Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors are poisonous.
Please note: all work on the car – Audi A4 B6 – should be done with the engine switched off.

Carry out replacement in the following order:

Step 1

Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.
Step 2

Clean the fuel filter housing and the cover. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.

Step 3

Loosen the fuel filter mounting.Use Torx T20.
Step 4

Prepare a container for fluids.
Step 5

Squeeze the clips and detach the fuel supply lines from the fuel filter housing.Use fuel line pliers.Use a flat screwdriver.

Replacement: fuel filter – Audi A4 B6. Tip from AUTODOC:
Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
Step 6

Remove the fuel filter.
Step 7

Put the old filter cartridge in the container.
Step 8

Install a new fuel filter.

Replacement: fuel filter – Audi A4 B6. Professionals recommend:
Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Consider the fuel flow direction mark.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.Attention! Use quality filters – Audi A4 B6.
Step 9

Connect the fuel lines to the fuel filter and lock the fastening clips.
Step 10

Tighten the fuel filter fasteners. Use Torx T20.
Step 11

Take the fluid container away from under the fuel filter.

Step 12

Lower the car.

Replacement: fuel filter – Audi A4 B6. Tip:
Before starting off, switch the ignition on and off several times. This should be done to activate the fuel pump to make it pump fuel through the fuel system.
Step 13

Run the engine for a few minutes.This is necessary in order to make sure that the component operates properly.Shut off the engine.
