- Step 1
Open the bonnet. - Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car. - Step 3
Loosen the fuel filter mounting.Use a combination spanner #10. - Step 4Prepare a container for fluids.Step 5
Loosen the fastening clamps of the fuel filter pipes.Use pliers. - Step 6
Detach the tubes from the fuel filter.Use a flat screwdriver.Replacement: fuel filter – Audi A4 B7 Avant. AUTODOC recommends:Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses. - Step 7
Remove the spring clip that holds the fuel line in place. Use a flat screwdriver. - Step 8
Disconnect the pipe from the fuel filter.Replacement: fuel filter – Audi A4 B7 Avant. AUTODOC experts recommend:Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses. - Step 9
Remove the fuel filter.Put the old filter cartridge in the container. - Step 10
Install a new fuel filter.Replacement: fuel filter – Audi A4 B7 Avant. Professionals recommend:Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Consider the fuel flow direction mark.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.Take care to only use quality filters. - Step 11
Screw in the fuel filter mounting bracket.Use a combination spanner #10.
