                      Wire brush
                    
                      WD-40 spray
                    
                      Copper grease 
                    
                      Drive socket # 17 
                    
                      Wheel impact socket #21
                    
                      Torque wrench
                    
                      Tap wrench
                    
                      Wheel chock

AUTODOC recommends:

Replace the stabiliser links on TOYOTA COROLLA Saloon (E15_) in pairs.
The replacement procedure is identical for both stabiliser links on the same axle.
All work should be done with the engine stopped.

Replacement: anti roll bar links – TOYOTA COROLLA Saloon (E15_). Take the following steps:

Step 1

Secure the wheels with chocks.
Step 2

Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #21.
Step 3

Raise the front of the car and secure on supports.

Step 4

Unscrew the wheel bolts.

AUTODOC recommends:
Important! Hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. TOYOTA COROLLA Saloon (E15_)
Step 5

Remove the wheel.
Step 6

Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 7

Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a drive socket #17. Use a tap wrench.
Step 8

Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the shock strut. Use a drive socket #17. Use a tap wrench.
Step 9

Remove the stabilizer rod.

Replacement: anti roll bar links – TOYOTA COROLLA Saloon (E15_). AUTODOC experts recommend:
Examine stabiliser bushes. Replace them if needed.
Step 10

Install a new rod, tighten the fasteners.
Step 11

Tighten the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a drive socket #17. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 74 Nm torque.
Step 12

Tighten the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the shock strut. Use a drive socket #17. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 74 Nm torque.
Step 13

Treat all joints of the stabiliser link. Use copper grease.
Step 14

Clean the wheel rim mounting seat. Use a wire brush. Treat the contacting surface. Use copper grease.
Step 15

Install the wheel.

AUTODOC recommends:
Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while screwing in the fastening bolts on the car. TOYOTA COROLLA Saloon (E15_)
Step 16

Screw in the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #21.
Step 17

Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #21. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 103 nm torque.

Step 18

Remove the jacks and chocks.
