Replacement: engine oil and filter – PEUGEOT 206+ (T3E). AUTODOC recommends:
- Replace the oil filter every time when changing motor oil.
- Wear gloves to prevent contact with hot liquid.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: engine oil and filter – PEUGEOT 206+ (T3E). Recommended sequence of steps:
- Step 1Open the hood.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3.1Disconnect the vacuum sensor.Step 3.2Squeeze the clamp with combination pliers and disconnect the vacuum valve hose.
- Step 4Unscrew the clamps and disconnect the charger intake hose from the air filter housing.
- Step 5Loosen the binding clamps attaching the air duct to the air filter housing and to the charger. Use a combination spanner #7.
- Step 6Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose from the air duct.
- Step 7Disconnect the charger intake hose from the air filter housing.
- Step 8Unscrew the clamp and fasteners on the air filter intake pipe. Use a combination spanner #7. Use a drive socket #10.
- Step 9Disconnect the air intake pipe from the air filter housing.
- Step 10Clean the oil filter housing cap.
- Step 11Unscrew the filter housing cap together with the old filter element. Use a drive socket #27.
- Step 12Prepare a container for the old oil filter.
- Step 13Remove the filter element from the filter housing. Put the old filter cartridge in the container.
- Step 14Cover the oil filter housing with a microfibre towel to prevent dirt and foreign objects from getting into the system.
- Step 15Unscrew the oil filler plug.
- Step 16Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.AUTODOC recommends:The vehicle must be on even keel, and if it is at an angle, the drain plug must be at the lowest point.Step 17Put a waste oil container with at least 5 l capacity under the drainage hole.
- Step 18Unscrew the drain plug. Use HEX No.H8.
- Step 19Drain the used oil.Replacement: engine oil and filter – PEUGEOT 206+ (T3E). Tip:Caution! The oil may be hot.Wait until the oil has completely drained from the drainage hole.
- Step 20Clean the area of the oil pan drainage hole.
- Step 21Screw in the new drainage plug and tighten it. Use HEX No.H8. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 30 Nm torque.
- Step 22Lower the car.Step 23Remove the oil filter cover O-ring. Use a flat screwdriver.
- Step 24Install a new O-ring to its mounting seat on the filter cover.
