Replacement: engine oil and filter – NISSAN CUBE (Z12). AUTODOC experts recommend:
- Replace the oil filter every time when changing motor oil.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
- Wear gloves to prevent contact with hot liquid.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Open the hood.Step 2
Remove the oil filler cap. - Step 3
Pour the engine flush in. - Step 4
Install the oil filler cap. - Step 5Start the engine, let it run for 15 minutes, and then stop it.Step 6Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.AUTODOC recommends:The vehicle must be on even keel, and if it is at an angle, the drain plug must be at the lowest point.Step 7
Undo the fasteners of the oil pan lower cover. - Step 8
Remove the oil pan cover. Use a drive socket #10. Use a flat screwdriver. - Step 9Put a waste oil container with at least 5 l capacity under the drainage hole.Step 10
Unscrew the drain plug. Use a drive socket no.19 Or ring spanner no.19. - Step 11
Drain the used oil.Replacement: engine oil and filter – NISSAN CUBE (Z12). Professionals recommend:Caution! The oil may be hot.Wait until the oil has completely drained from the drainage hole. - Step 12Move the container under the oil filter.Step 13
Unscrew the oil filter. Use the 65/67-14f socket. - Step 14
Remove the oil filter. Prepare a container for the old oil filter. Put the old oil filter in the container.AUTODOC recommends:Move up the container. The oil starts to drain out of the drainage hole immediately after you have removed the oil filter. - Step 15
Clean the oil filter seat. - Step 16
Clean the area of the oil pan drainage hole.

- @user_218707429.01.2024 18:11MemberDo not listen to some parts of this, your oil filter is recommended to be replaced every oil change, and some of these tools are unnecessary, such as the torque wrench. I am not a licensed mechanic, so this is not professional advice, but some of these things need to be corrected.
